No Pain No Gain!!!
Published by yantie under motivation on 10:25 AMLast weekend i watched a programme in Discovery Channel; CHINA RISING. This programme was about how China’s People try to improve their English. They are really poor in English (i admit this because when i was there hardly to get any information since they don’t know English).
The programme showed that they realized the situation and they tried to improve their English no matter how. Very impressed! From younger to older they put themselves in difficult situation to learn English. The most important reason why they were really eager to learn is because Olympic Beijing. They went to English Camp, English Class etc. Uncle Yang registered to be a volunteer of Olympic because he wants to tell every single thing about China to foreigner. So he went to the class. He always speaks English with everyone, friends, family etc. He said to be good in English, we must be “tebal muka”. The good thing is his friends also very supportive (kalau kita, member ckp English salah sikit mesti dah gelak ejek, mcm mana nak improve??).
Other than that, there were about 700 candidates of Olympic’s Volunteer went to the English Camp. They were willing to spend a lot of money to enter the camp. Training in the camp was similar to military training. Very tough! The aim was to make them do what they don’t want to do (aku rasa ini la resepi paling berguna...perlu ajar buat mende yang tak suka untuk berjaya).
One of the motivation phrase during the camp that i like was: “No matter hard Math and English are, our parents’ sacrifice to raise us are harder” –yg ni mmg paling best la untuk diberi pada student (tukar sikit) -> “Sesusah mana Matematik dan Sains Komputer, susah lagi ibu bapa membesarkan anda”. Harap-harap diorang faham, maknanya walaupun susah Matematik dan Sains Komputer, anda perlu berusaha gigih kerana Ibu Bapa membesarkan anda lagi susah dan akan mengecewakan mereka jika anda gagal.
My friend said that China’s People develop themselves quickly because they have communist spirit. (i think communist spirit means, everything that we do must be faster than others- that’s what could i concludes according to what she said)
To my student: Do what you don’t want to do, only then you’ll be successful. What you don’t want to do?...think about it, remember: “Sesusah mana Matematik dan Sains Komputer, susah lagi ibu bapa membesarkan anda”
Ayuh Malaysian, no pain no gain!!!!
